Androids and the human birth rate
Remember this movie from the 80s about how the human race was dying out because women where unable to give birth. A lone woman was entrusted to a backpack of sorts that held in stasis a viable baby. She is supposed to meet a ship so that they can place it in a furtile female. Along the way she meets up with a man. Who she reveals what is in her backpack after some narrow escapes. She later finds out that he is Android (which is the evil race?). I believe she dies and he manages to deliver the cargo to the boat, probably missing a limb and with great damage.
