I remember renting this movie when I was little.

It was animated and I think it was made in the 90's, possibly 80's. All I remember is that it was the Snow White basic storyline only I thought it was better. It wasn't called Snow White and I don't even thing that the girl's name was Snow White. I feel like the cover is similar to the cover of "Happily Ever After" only with better animation, but I'm not sure.

Not that I think it will help much, but I feel like I rented it with Dark Crystal or Black Cauldron.

Nope. Checked there first. That's why I thought for a bit that it might have been Happily Ever After, but it isn't.

I suppose I should also note that the plot was most likely VERY loosely based on Snow White- just enough to get the point across but not really. You know?

I think you're actually looking for "Happily Ever After" maybe that is what I'm looking for. I don't know. I forgot about it for a while. Lol :p

Do you remember the small men getting lost in the castle full of mirrors and they can't get out until they are saved or something?

I feel like what I'm looking for is one of the movies that has already been mentioned, but has been glorified by my childhood memory so that it doesn't seem to match anymore.

I know what you mean but Im sure that the characters all had different names i.e. the main girl wasn't called snow white, the movie was just similar.
