I am just wondering, how often do guys in relationships actually masturbate? Is it completely normal for a guy to always want sex or a blow job before bed, and if you won't do it that night he goes into the other room to masturbate before bed? Maybe I don't know and this is normal but it sure seems a bit excessive.

There is a joke that says "guys think about sex every 5 minutes". As a guy gets older, this diminishes.

For a young guy, having an orgasm at least once a day isn't unusual. When I was young, I had sex nearly once a day.

You wake up with morning wood and thus release is welcomed. An orgasm before bed makes one sleep better.

Then there is the "Use it or loose it". It's true for orgasms. A guy's body exercises the penis every day at night to fill the penis with blood to nourish it's parts. Without the morning wood nerves die. It's important. A release just makes it all the better.

Some young guys do get carried away with the self love thing, but what's normal, is up to the individual.
