Ask Me Help Desk - I am 20 and pregnant

I have found out a couple of days ago that I am pregnant-5weeks.
It was a shock, me and my boyfriend aren't trying for a baby and he says he is not ready to be a dad as he can't even look after himself.
He did say that if I decide to keep it then he'd stay with me and will love it but he still doesn't want a baby until he is at least 25. I am in 2 minds. I want a baby but am too young and scared I won't cope. My family live far away from me. I have alsi recently lost my job so have no money, I have a nasty bedsit type flat too which wouldn't be good with a baby. But I am too scared to abort, although half of me thinks I should becus I want 100% support frm my boyf but its our baby, I need to make a quick decision but I'm so scared I'll make the wron decision and it'll be too late.

have you considered giving it up for adoption?
You can try and make it work but you shouldn't do it to hang on to your boyfriend or get money out of him.
I had 4 babies with my x husband and it was rough. Sometimes we didn't have the best of places to live--nasty rugs, ugly walls, but my kids grew up knowing they were loved.

You're in a tough situation as you know. Really examine your heart and head to help you decide which direction will be best at this time. Any choice will have its pros and cons, but only you can decide which choice offers the greater pros for you. I wish you well.

I am concerned about the number of years you've been taking antidepressants and their effect on the baby - have you consulted with a Physician about that side of things - ?

I have no idea what the answer to the medical question is but I believe it has to be asked.
