    200 amp sub panel?
    Hi,
I am running a subpanel up to a 2-3 fl apartment, from the basement. Basement main is 200 amp and feeds 9-15 amp lines. upstairs subpanel will feed everything else--230 stove, 230 dryer, 12-20 amp lines, 10-15amp lines. How do I determine the appropriate size for the sub panel. The run distance is about 80 ft.

    Thanks,
    chris

    Chris,

When you say up-stairs apartments, do you mean apartments that you rent to other people?

Are you a resident of the building? Check with your local authority having jurisdiction. They may require that you have a licensed electrician do the work.
