Our Kenmore gas dryer is taking much longer than normal to dry the clothes. I have cleaned out the vent tube but it did not help. There is a clunking noise when you put lint screen in, that was not there when we purchased the dryer.

Any ideas

Sounds like it is time for a on site service call. Probably a temperature sensor on the blink.
