    'SAFE' message on Vauxhall Vectra?
    Hello,
    I have a Vauxhall vectra 1988 and over the weekend the battry completely died. I have now managed to charge it up and it is all working fine apart from the is a 'SAFE' message on the desh and the radio doesn't work, does anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

    Since you disconnected the battery, you likely need to reenter the radio code.

    Use the buttons on the face of the radio to enter the code.

    But where do you get it from!
    I have no idea what it is!

    Try calling the dealer you bought the car from. They may maintain a list of individuals and radio codes--I've seen this done before. Sometimes, the dealer records the radio code in the Owner's Manual.
