I can't afford my rent anymore. If I get evicted do I still have to pay on the remaining months of my lease? If they sue me and I have no money do I then not have to pay? I live in MI and signed a lease that has 7 months left. I'm a single mom and on food stamps as it is.

If you get evicted I don't believe that they can force you to pay... just don't accept anything until you have something IN WRITING confirming so. On your lease it states grounds for termination as well as residential law in your state... I am in Canada but I honestly think if your evicted and they terminated the contract and give your reasonable notice they can not hold you to the commitment of the lease terms BUT get it in WRITING. If they on the other hand do not give you reasonable notice could be 30 or 90 days notice unless there is something illegal going on they have to give you notice. If they try and get you out in 24 hours you can turn around and sue them for frustration and have them pay your rent. There are a lot of loop holes... how are you planning to terminate your lease?

You signed a contract. I suggest talking to the landlord. As an ex-landlord, if I were your landlord, I would put up your apartment for rent once you'd moved out, and if it rented out right away, would likely let you off scot-free. If it took two months to find a new tenant, I might sue you in small claims court to recover the two months lost rental income, which you signed a contract to be responsible for. If I won, I might be able to dock your paycheck... or I might never see the money. As the old saying goes "you can't get blood out of a turnip".

Actually yes that's right and/or you can also find someone to take over your lease.
