    My computer does not start
Hi ,to whom it may concern ,my computer does not start ,I've tried to strart with safe mode but it did not, I always get this message:lost or damaged file : System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys
I have no idea what that is supposed to mean, is there anybody that knows something about this.
    Thanks in advance

I googled your error message and found the fix on the Microsoft support website

"Missing or corrupt Ntfs.sys" error message when you restart Windows XP after you convert your hard disk to the NTFS file system

Does it say anything else after error code 7... this seems to be a general error code and not something that relates to a specific missing file.

Also is this a new computer or did you recently put new ram or a new hard drive into it?

Now when I tried again tha windows says...
Please insert the disk labeled.. Windows Automated System Recovery Disk into the floppy drive.
    Press any key when ready.
Actually this is the first time I see this message and I don't have the disk.
    What shall I do.
    Yours
