Low-Pitch Pulsating Noise
For the last 3 weeks I've lost sleep due to a pulsating, low-pitch noise that sounds like it's coming from my neighbor's area where his pool equipment, propane tank and? Are located. It's a fenced area. We live on acre lots. At first I thought it was my septic system and I've had that checked and it's not. I've had the water company out and they say it's nothing between the main and my house. It's driving me crazy. Can't sleep and am now being treated for hypertension. Can't help but think it's related to this noise, as I've never had high blood pressure before. Everyone who comes to my house and listens says it's coming from my neighbor's area. I've called my neighbor, sent e-mails and tried to catch them while they're leaving in the morning, but the never return my calls, my e-mails or stop for me to talk to them. I would like to eliminate their house as the source before I spend money I don't have on plumbers or building inspectors or whatever. The noise is there all day long, but during the day is masked more by day noise, like traffic etc. I can forgive it during the early hours of the evening because of TV, etc. but trying to sleep from midnight on is impossible because of this noise. It almost feels like the "sound" and "feel" of a horrible pounding headache. Anybody have any suggestions? I can't afford to move, so that eliminates that!
