What should I do? Should I talk to him?
I've known this guy(connor) since kindergarten or first grade, I was friends with him and 2 other guys. I never really got along with girls, I guess I was too tomboyish. We were really close, he was the only one I could talk to when my mother was drunk and my dad was at work. I guess in 4th grade we started to drift apart, I’m not sure why, we never got into fights or anything. By 5th grade I made friends with 2 girls who were new to the school. Right before 7th grade one of my friends moved to Washington and the other just stopped being my friend. I was awkward and shy when we were around each other. I had to go to another school for 8th grade since we couldn't afford another year at a private school. Half way through the year I couldn't handle being around people anymore so I started homschooling. My friend who moved kept in contact with me and told me she found connor's Myspace. I never wanted to stop being his friend, but I'm very shy around people. Should I give it a chance and message him? Or should I just give up and forget about it? I've never been as close to any of my other friends than him.

If it helps I’m 14 now and so is he.

I think you should definitely give it a shot and send him a message! I was in a somewhat similar position as you, just a few years older, and it was soooo worth getting in contact with my friend again!

I think you should talk to him, and ask him how he's been and stuff. Don't just go right on and tell him "I've liked you for a long time!" Talk to him, and find out more about how his life is, if he's the same person you liked, if he's changed, and if you don't feel the same way about him now that he's changed or something. Liking someone means you like them for who they are now, not just then.
