Faucet shuts itself off during use. Seems to happen mainly after using hot water to do dishes.

How old is your faucet?

Purchased April 05,08 worked fine for a while. Seems to shut off mainly after using hot water
(washing dishes, fill big pot).
Also works OK if only in mid to cold position.

I had the same problem with my Moen Kitchen Faucet. Turned out it was the "O" rings in the cartridge that allowed the handle to slide back down to the off position. This cleared up in time after the "O" rings swelled a bit. However you might wish to change out the cartridge, (see image) Good luck, Tom
