There's a movie in the 80's or 90's I don't know what its called but its american I think it might be based on a true story where in the beginning the mother dies and her four children, two boys and two girls, don't want to be stuck in foster care or be separated so they run away and they try and find their uncle that they know little about on the way the youngest boy puts a quarter in a slot mechine in a old gas station and wins a bunch of coins and puts them in his hat then they steal some woman's car to get away when they find their uncle the oldest boy gets in fight with their uncles boy in a horse barn then shoves his face in some horse crap, I think at the end the woman who they stole the car from catches up to them and help them out...

That sounds vaguely familiar. I think I watched that in 6th grade in like 1996. I think it may have been called On Our Own? At least the movie I am thinking of was called that or had that phrase in a song somewhere in it. Hope that helps!
