I recently installed a new fuel pump into a 2002 hyundia accent. The car runs fine, but the fuel pump has a loud humming noise. Is the fuel pump faulty or is that normal.

You may have a faulty part or you may have inadvertently installed it improperly.
If it works and you can live with the noise, let it be...
... unless you want to go back into the tank.. I wouldn't if I didn't have to.
