    38 or 40 weeks pregnant
I have read that even though a doctor says you carry your baby for 40 weeks you really are not pregnant the first 2 weeks of your pregnancy so right now I am 14 weeks so really my baby is only 12 weeks right

Pregnancy takes 40 weeks from fertilization to delivery. Since there is not a camera inside us to record the actual moment of fertilization we have to use the last monthly period as a sort of calendar. Since women ovulate at different times during the month, two weeks here or there comes into play. You may deliver two weeks earlier than your due date, two weeks past, or right on time.
