Dryer shuts itself off - clothes not drying
My dryer turns itself off before the clothes are dry. I used to use the auto shut off feature (with no problems) but then the clothes started to not dry so I switched to the timed dry feature. This feature worked for a while but now the dryer will only run for about 20 mins and shut off. The dryer is about 7 years old. I don't want to call a repair man if I have to purchase a new one. I am hoping someone can help me fix it myself.
    Thanks

Ahsel2003 - Here is a list of yhe most proable causes.
#1 - Clothes to wet;;; #2- overloaded dryer
#3- clogged lint screen;; #4- Sags in the vent hose 9 IF DRYER VENTS Through A FLSXABLE HOSE ) :: #5 - Vent is obstructed or DAMPER is stuck:: #6 - LEAKING DOOR SEAL :: #7 - LOOSE BLOWER ::
IF it is a gas dryer then it will probably be a faulty gas burner; ( NOTE ) ON the outside of the house where the vent comes out , check to see if it may be plugged up or the little flappers are loose and not stuck :: I
Hope this has helped , let us know what you find out or if we can be of any more help ,just come back on to this post and post it ;;Have

You forgot the regulator. Could be that.

Vent is obstructed is good... clean out the entire pipe. I do it once a year. Most dyers have a sensor. If heat is not exiting it shuts off.
