    Garnish wages for rent
My father has an apartment house where the renter moved out owing back rent. He is employed and I would like to know how to garnish his wages? Do I have to go through an lawyer or are there forms I can fill out and have noterized then take to the courthouse? We live in the state of Ohio.

First you have to file suit against the former tenant. Once you are awarded a judgement, you can then request from the court a writ of garnishment to be served on tenant's employer.
