    Tile floor or wall first
Hey, I am ready to tile my new shower. I allresdy installed the pan and the hardie backer. Every thing has cured. I am using 1/2 tile (in 12x12 sheets) on floor and 9x13 on the walls. Should I tile the floor or walls first?

I would do the wall first . If you do the floor first you will have to wait until the tile sets completely since you will be standinding on it to set wall.

You would start on the wall first from bottom to top set up chaulk lines to make sure you stay lined up.

    1. Hot mop floor or Install PVC liner
    2. Install moisture barrier on walls
    3. Install hardy-backer board
    4. Install wall tile
    5. Grout wall tile
    6. Install floor tile
    7. Grout floor tile

I would NOT recommend caulking where wall meets the floor. Caulk is reserved for repairs, not for new work. In any case, caulked joints on tile look ugly, especially on mosaic tile you are planning to install. Caulk only along frame for shower door. Grout well. Use fortified liquid instead of water to mix with the grout. Don't use power mixer to mix grout. Mix grout in bucket by hand. Let grout cure for 3 days. Seal with grout penetrating sealer. Enjoy your new shower...
