    Dishwasher will not pump
I have a GE dishwasher that will not pump and the only ID is 165D5450P004. I need to know if it is simply clogged or the motor is gone. When I run it through all cycles I can hear the timer click but no other sound. The tub is currently full of water. Thanks for your help.

More than likely the pump motor is shot. Usually the pump and motor is sold as a assembly.

Thanks one and all for you help with the dishwasher that would not pump out dirty water.

I vacuumed the water, cleaned the screen, and hose. Now is it works fine.

I am glad you got it to work. That is very unusual since the amount of dirt in the water has no effect on its pumping capability.

So as not to give the wrong impression, I not only removed the dirty water but clean a lot of residue from the screen and hose.

I understand. It must have been a lot of debris to block the pump or drain. Glad you got it going.
