How can I imcrease the blowing power of my furnace?
I have a gas fueled forced air furnace. Upstairs get warm, but downstairs doesn't. The air from the vents is very weak; it trickles air instead of blowing it. The pipe that goes to the chimney gets really hot and the heating duct by the furnace is warm by the furnace, but the further away from the furnace, the cooler it gets. Is there any way I can improve the force of the air, or find out and fix any problem?

It is normal for the ducts as they move away from the furnace to get cooler.

Check your furnace air filter first

Pull the blower assembly and clean the cage blower OR if you do not know how to do that pay someone to do that for you. When they get dirt on the blades they do not move as much air.
If you have to pay someone to do that while they are there have them balance your duct work system. This requires a special tool to measure air flow but it can help to correct the temperature differences.

NOTE: increasing Blower speed thinking that will cure you problem will not work. You will be doing nothing but blowing more cool air around and you do not want to do that.

A well balanced duct system will provide the proper air flow to each area unless the duct system was not correctly installed in the home to start with and that is another problem.
