Are they legit?

Are psychics legit? I was looking at stuff around my town and like all different popular hotlines on the internet, hoax or people with a real gift?

Anyone can learn to be a psychic on a hotline, there's absolutely no talent required.

I do believe in psychics, but not the ones on the hotlines, they're fake.

How do I know? For around 2 days a friend of mine worked as a psychic on a hotline. She had two days of training and then she was ready to go. She ended up quiting because she didn't like cheating people.

It's your choice. If it's just for fun then go for it, but if you're looking for a real psychic, then hotlines aren't the place to go.

Correct.

My friend told me that she was taught to listen to the persons tone of voice, pick things up in their speech etc.

When a person calls to ask for advice they give up way more information then they are even aware of. A good "psychic" can pick up on that and then play off that in order to give that person a really good "reading".

If you want good, honest advice about your relationship, ask about it here. We may not be psychic, but we may be able to help.

Really though, don't waste your money. :)

Yeah, most psychics are fake or very limited at their ability to say the least. They use vague things that can happen to anybody and they do not use any specific time frames or specific details.
Like you will go on a trip and find a job. Is that trip across the country or to the next county? Will it be this month or a year from now? Will you find the job when you go on the trip or when you get back?

Then much of what they say is the power of suggestion. Like you will go on a trip and find a job... Weren't planning on going on a trip but now suddenly you are.

Also with most all advertised and hotline psychics they do have a disclaimer in small print which says for entertainment purposes only!

Yes, I was offered a job as one of the "hotline" companies before, I went to the training class, it was how to keep them on the phone longer to add up minutes and how to give them just enough to make them want to call back.

Just foresee it as comical I guess? I mean I've tried before just to see what they would say I never really take anything to heart. I just really want to know if my ex girlfriend will ever comeback... :-(

I can answer that. It's unlikely that she will. I'm going by the odds, and the odds aren't great.

Having said that, there's always a chance that she will, but do you want to spend the rest of your life hoping for that chance?

Alty can't count! There are 3 absolutes in life! The third being that if you spit in the wind, your face will get wet! :eek::p

There are one in a million people that have honed in on the special ability to be able to foresee the future, although I do believe there are a lot that are legit. I believe there are more that can see things that have already happened. Even then, it is a skill that has to be studied and practiced... as in the people that work in law enforcement, and help to solve crimes. I do however believe that some people are given the "gift", but they sure don't work for hotlines! The ones that will charge you by the minute, are not the real thing. Unless it's in the case of being paid to be a criminal phychic, or something of the sort, where they put a lot of time and energy into helping for the good of the people involved, they are for the most part, trained to ask certain questions to get the info that they need to make you believe them. If you ask them if your girlfriend is coming back, they will pick up on your tone as Alty said, and just go from there. They are there to make as much money as they can after all. I predict if you call right now, they will tell you she is coming back. After all, you wouldn't want to stay on the phone, or call back if they told you she is done with you.
