I have been threw the ringer these last past 3 years I meet a girl online (first mistake) after one night together she became pregnant moved in with me and my parents lived with us until the baby was born she did not work the entire time my parents supported her fully with everything right down to her rides to & from the doctors anything she needed was taken care of at that time family protection steped in at the hospital it was found that the mother was using drugs (pot) the baby was kept at the hospital for 5 days then he came home to my parents house where the 3 of us stayed for 5 months the mother left and my parents got temporay gaurdinship of the baby for 90 days I lived at their house with them and the baby she went off to god knows where for the 90 days me and her got our own place and where able to have our son back we lived together with fights offten and my parents all ways took my son they had him 5 out of 7 days a week and that is over night then 8 months later I was working one day and my mom came to the job to get me she said the baby was hurt when I got to the hospital I learned that my sons leg was stuck in him crib for a long peiord of time once again family protection steped in the mother was home alone with the baby and know one could understand what she claimed happened we stayed together she would tell me time and time again that the baby was not mine when we had a disagrement or she would tell me she dose not want the baby now 1 year latter after all kinds of issuse I found a suicid note she wrote and it said she was going to kill her self in frount of my son and I also learned she was reciving welfare lying to them telling them I was not there so she could get money and food stamps from them she even snuck and paid the rent to get a recipit in her name so I left with my son and returned to my parents house we have a dna test in dec and if I am the father does you think I could get custody of my son? I am in Ma and we where not married I have the note and the welfare paper work then I have all my proof that I did live there and she did not need that money from them I paid for everything food , lights, phone, rent, etc this girl has been a big probulm in my family. My mom has 3 years worth of notes and calendars filled with when we had the baby and all the tricks she has pulled can anyone help with this huge mess. Now she says she wants the baby back and is telling me I owe child support to welfare :confused:

The best you can do is file for custody and present your proof. The Court will order DNA testing to make sure you are the father. If you owe child support to Welfare, Welfare will let you know.

Quite frankly I am having some difficulty in believing that she is totally the bad guy and you are totally the good guy - according to you there was a lot going on and you had absolutely no knowledge (from fraud to marihuana use and so forth) and I'm not sure that's going to be believed by the Court, either.

She went "sneaking" out and paid the rent in her name so Welfare wouldn't know you lived there? Didn't you find it odd that you lived in an apartment but never paid rent? Where did you think the food stamps (which paid for food you ate) were coming from?

At any rate, the Court will determine which situation is in the best interest of the child as well as where the truth lies.

I was giving her money to shop she was keeping the money and using the food stamps and as far as the rent I paid the rent every week and then she offtered to walk down one week and pay with tmy money and had the land loard put the recipt in her name every other one is in my name I thought nothing of it at the time until I found the paperwork from welfare and the drug use is all ready out there I am the one who found out that she was smoking and told the doctors when she was carring the baby so that is why they looked into it and found out and that has been proven in court so that is not even needed they know it already once I found the paper work that very same day is the day we left and I have called to let the know what I have found they where very nice to me and said that I need to bring all my proof to them so they can look into it I have a DNA test for dec 3 2008 and this welfare is just new it has only been a month she has had it so I found out very fast and did everything to report it . My bottom line is my son is use to being at my parents home he has been there since birth not only living there but also they take him all the time because of the way she has been threw out the last 3 years.
