I was once engaged to a man and we did the fatah process. 2months later we decided to go our separate ways it was for our best interest. A couple months later his father which is divorced and has interest in me and we have a lot in common and later on we were strongly wanting to get married to each other but I want to know is it permissible in islam to get married to him even though I was engaged to his son? Please answer asap thanks.
