    Giant Waterbugs
What is out on the market that can be used to get rid of these giant waterbugs or the flying roaches. I find them dead all over my house in the mornings. I have never had them like this before. Maybe one or two every once in awhile but never like this... I have tried roach bug spray and boric acid but they don't seam to be helping...
    Thanks:confused:

The giant water bugs you refer to are called Palmetto Bugs in Florida and the south. Short of using a blowtorch on the little buggers you should up your use of the boric acid. Spread it in the rooms they frequent and on the baseboards area also.

I lived in South Florida and those critters get big enough to put a saddle on and ride around the room on. One of the best ways to combat these guys is to (believe it or not) put plugs in all your drains when the drain is not in use. That means your bath tub drain, and all sink drains. Where I lived these flying B-52's would crawl out of the drains and live in my bathroom! I would go in there at night and turn on the light and eeek there would be a dozen critters staring at me. Also look to see if there are any cracks under doors leading to the outside that need to be weatherproofed or sealed. Ditto the windows. Anywhere they can get in they will find a way. Be sure you don't have food goodies out to draw them either. Dog and cat food dry or wet will attract them also. Good luck with your little bug circus in the meantime.

I live in SouthWest Florida And we all have them. I've never used Boric Acid I've always used roach bait and those sticky pads you place where they parade around.
Here's a trick if you can't stand the smell of roach spray purchase a can of Aqua-Net and spray it on the little buggers. The Hair spray will set up and the roach won't be able to move. Smells a lot better and coats the critter in wave set. R.I.P. Hope this helps, Tom
