    Emancipating your child
Can I emanciate my 18 and 20 year old children that are still enrolled in school? One is still in high school and one in collage.

What State and why? In NY you can legally emancipate a child if there are legal/behavioral problems and you don't want the financial responsibility for misdeeds any longer - not because you no longer feel like supporting the child.

If the child wants to be emancipated he/she proves that he/she is and has been self supporting, is a high school graduate (in most cases), already has a stable place to live that does not involve relatives/friends.

I think we need more info.

As noted we are going to need more to go on. Your state is the most important then the reason you think they need to be emancipated.
