    Shifting sound
Hello I bought a Goodman furnace this will be the second winter I have had it. Tonight I just noticed that the furnace was making a clicking noise like it was shifting in different gears (hope that explains it). I just felt air blowing on the register. The thermostat was set at 78 the house temp was 78 it just kept blowing. I turned it off waited and turned it back on now it is running smooth it was not real loud I just kept thinking that heater dosen't run like that. Please tell me this is minor or normal.

You could have had a piece of something sucked up into the squirl cage, something like a piece of paper or plastic.
Take the bottom door off and shine a light into the squirl cage to see if you can see something.

It is a blower wheel with a motor sticking in one end. There is an opening on each end of the blower housing, look for something in each end.
