    How do you tell someone.
That you royally messed up a bank account?

I am a wreck about this, but I can't hide it from him...

I screwed up overdrew our account and we suffered hundreds of dollars in NSF fees...

    Any recommendations?

Obviously I am a big fat chicken and need some help here...

The only qualifications I have to reply is that I have been married to my wife for 22 years. That being said, unless your partner has a propensity towards violence that I don't know about, honesty is the best policy.
The sooner the better probably, although right before bed or first thing in the morning may not be the best time.
    Good luck,

    Chris

Well, it's hard to say... the approach changes depending on what type of person he is. I honestly would just be honest with him about it. Sure, he'll be upset at first, but you're being honest about it, so that'll earn trust and respect instead of the alternative of losing trust and him having resentment towards you.

Go with the honesty approach, or maybe make some love and sneak what happened in there right after?

He is a good man, but this is going to piss him off. I'm not sure our relationship will survive it... since money has been our issue for a few years...

I definitely feel honesty is best, I just don't know when/how to do it...

Honey I shrunk the checking account!

Seriously, just tell him straight as soon as possible. The longer you wait the less he can do something about it.

Oh, and yes he will not be happy, but he will be even less happy in a week, while you get your courage up.
