I was hanging out with that friend I like and I kind of sort of told him that I liked him. He didn't really say anything, he just told me he would get back to me. It's been a couple of days since I've talked to him. Did I just ruin our friendship? Is he avoiding me?

You were honest and you shouldn't regret that, but I think he is nicely trying to tell you that he doesn't have the same feelings. Maybe you should give him a call and tell him you would rather have him as a friend than to not have him in your life, but admit to yourself that he may not be the right one to be your boyfriend. He is probably struggling with issues of his own.

It could've I've had the same thing happen, just joke it off and tell him it was akward but it's OK if he doesn't feel the same.

I agree with rainbow, joke it off and make it a conversation point like the things I admire about you that I hope to find in a guy someday are... How about you what qualities do you hope to find in a girl someday and what do you think my good qualities are? Tell him you are glad he is your friend and you hope to be friends throughout life where ever it takes each of you.

Turn it into something that he feels more comfortable with and not feel like it is an akward thing that makes him feel like he has to back off.
