    "Per Cent" means "Per hundred" so 34% would be 34 per hundred or 34/100.

    You will need to determine the prime factors of each term. Prime factors cannot be evenly divided by any smaller whole number. One, two, three, five, seven, eleven, thirteen, seventeen and nineteen are prime numbers (could be prime factors of larger numbers). Substitute each term's prime factors in the fraction. Cross out the factors that appear on both the top and bottom of the fraction. The products of the remaining factors will be the fraction's simplest terms.

    some examples of factoring:

    38=19X2
    75=5X5X3
    22=2X11

    22/38=(2X11)/(2X19)=11/19
