My mother died a little while ago and in her will she stated I was to have my brothers in my care. I need to know how to go about getting documentation that I have some form of custody. I live in Washington

Well unfortunately, children are not willable items. So her putting that in her will was just a recommendation. You will need to go to court to get guardianship of them. How old are you? Do you have a stable job and place to live? Are there any other family members that want guardianship of them?

I am 23 I work at Sears and have been for almost a year. My brothers live with my husband and I (he is in the Navy) and have since the day after she died. I have an affidavit my aunts signed saying they would honor the wishes in her will. No one is fighting me for custody.
