Hey I need to know (for an assignment) which family mebers it is illegal to marry.

I believe that the closet family member you can marry would be a 2nd cousin... so not anyone closer then that.
Im not sure about step brothers/sisters etc... but speaking about biological family members I believe that you can legally marry a 2nd cousin and no one closer.

A research tip... go to the county clerk where you would normally apply for a marriage license and ask them! Good luck!
