Sure there is just throw them away
Since you say you are addicted, try to seek the help of a professional drug counselor. If you have health insurance, check to see if they have an anonymous phone in program that you can use. My insurance has a program called Care24. It is available 24/7 and covers a great deal of topics. They will help you and not judge you. Admitting that you have a problem is the first step to getting help. Congratulations on taking that step.
You can find natural ways of getting to sleep without the pills. I found that if I lay on my left side, I fall asleep in a few minutes. I also like listening to slow, calming music when I have really stressful days. It may take a while for you to find what is right for you, but know that taking pills every night is not the way. If you have a significant other, talk him/her into giving you a nice quiet massage. No TV. No talking. Just soothing music. Let you mind relax and forget about your troubles.
I hope some of this will help. Good luck.

I use melatonin sublingual tablets and sleep like a rock. I have had severe insomnia for years and years before I started using melatonin tablets. Don't take the kind you swallow but take the sublingual formula and put under your tongue to melt. 5mg no more for an adult to get a good night's sleep. Throw your sleeping pills away and don't just start on another kind of rx as it won't work.
Your body makes melatonin naturally. Google melatonin and see why you sleep better when you use it. The young children make more melatonin and as you age your body makes less and less. Why do you think older folks don't sleep? It's because they don't manufacture melatonin as much anymore.
There is a book I bought called "The Melatonin Miracle" by Walter Pierpaoli, MD and William Regelson, MD. Printed in 1995. It is still available on Amazon books. Paperback editions are relatively cheap. The paperback version I have is about 300 pages. Well worth the read. Once I read this book I understood WHY I was not sleeping properly. I was missing the melatonin in my body and was paying the consequences with lack of sleep.
My insomnia was caused by chronic pain. I would wake up every two hours like clockwork every night. Did this for the past 34 years. Injuries from two different bad car accidents. Since I've been taking melatonin nightly I sleep and only wake about once a night. Some nights I sleep right through the night. TRY IT. You'll thank me, believe me.
