Hello All,

I have a bath fan/light combo and I'm trying to hook up a countdown timer to it. The bath fan runs fine on a normal switch with white/black/ground romex between the switch and fan. The timer has red/white/black/ground wires and it doesn't work when I gang red with black and it oscillates when I gang red with white. Any help? It says red is "load" in the brief and not helpful instructions.

Having a make and model of the timer would help. They are all different.
