    Hey RC,
Before we can find a solution we must know the cause of the problem. Since this has been a ongoing problem I have a hunch that you have backfall on the tubs drain line causing your backups. The only way to tell is to open up the ceiling a way and put a level on the pipe. If you have back fall the pipe may be raised at the tubs trap to give it pitch. That way you wouldn't have to tear up either the floor or the ceiling.
Good luck and thank you for rating my answer. Tom
