I have this oil painting, hand painted on streched canvis. It has a tag in the back
With Title # 3923. From or sold by Avant'e studios, Inc and California artist on the tag.
It is sighned R.Shaw. My father died recently and he enjoyed the picture. I'm not sure
What kind of building it is but it looks to me to be a Italian buther building.
Would anyone know about this picture and if so I would appreciate details.

I have also have a 35x35 oil on canvas signed "R. Shaw". I've owned it for over ten years, but I'm not sure where it came from. I'm curious to see whether they have anything in common.

This is the signature on my painting.

I have this artwork in my home as well. My mom got it from her mom as a gift and it was purchased at Sears. She loves it, but we have been unable to identify the artist or any other artwork by him/her. Any information that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have this same piece of art... most likely also purchased at Sears in Seattle WA in or around 1976 by my mother. Same size, same signature. I was trying to find out if it was worth anything, as I currently have it displayed but it may need to go in storage and I wanted to make sure it was kept safe. I doubt that it's worth anything except for sentimental value beings it's duplicated so many times... but it would be nice to know.

I have to same painting Baltimore,MD). Frame is different but same hand painted tag catalog #3923. Since 2008 when you all last posted, has anyone gotten any upates on the artist, value or spoke directly to Avante Studio staff in CA.
