What is the square root of 50? And how did you get it?

How have you been taught to find it? A calculator will tell you immediately what it is, to good precision (and accuracy! ;))

The answer in the back of the book says 20 square root 2

Well that's obviously wrong, the square root of 50 will be somewhere near 7 ()
