I am new to this so sorry if I babble too much :rolleyes:

I have coloured dark brown hair. My natural colour was much lighter but when new growth comes through it is so much darker than my natural colour, almost the same colour as the coloured hair.

I am starting to get grey hairs too and I am feeling as though the dark brown mixed with the grey hairs is ageing me too fast. I am only 29 but feel as though I look in my late 30s.

I can't afford to go to hairdressers to have the full treatment done, wash, colour, cut, blowdry etc.

Can anyone give me any advice as far as lightening my hair colour a few shades? Would I need to bleach my hair or something first? And is this dangerous to do myself? I am really unsure of what to do.

Hi, I'm the same as u, but in 42 with grey, I would like to go back to blonde, that way the grey doesn't show so much, but I don't want to reck my hair, I went from black to blonde years ago, my friend who was a hairdresser I think stripped the colour from my hair, my hair was in a terrible state for awhile, it was OK in the end though,
