92 honda civic won't start until key is in run for 15-20 minutes.
Hello I have a 92 honda civic EX. I have a problem with the car not starting for 15 to 20 minutes once I turn the car to start. The check engine light is on then once it goes out it I hear a sound as if the fuel pump kicks on and a noise coming from under the dash area then it will beable to start. I looked at the wiring and the only thing I see that could cause the problem would be the PGM-FI main relay or the ECM. I would like to know if anyone has seen this before or any feedback would be great. Thanks

Yes, your ECM is bad, which the K-Test will confirm:

The K-Test: Remove the MAP Sensor connector and turn the ignition switch to ON (not start). Using a multimeter, check for 5 volts going between the MAP Sensor connector's reference wire (+) and ground. As you look at the connector, this is the socket on the right. Really press the black test lead into a cleaned main ECM ground on the thermostat housing. If the voltage is low, it's probably indicating ECM failure. Most failed ECMs will record a fraction of a volt. To me, the K-Test is simple, elegant, and accurate.

Here's how to replace your ECM yourself:

    This should solve your problem.

Afterwards, please update the K-Test Poll:
