    Automatic transmision won't go into DRIVE.
    Hi All,
    Can someone please help? I have a 4.0L 1994 Ford Fairmont with automatic transmission. The problem that has just started is that when I drive it goes through the low gears until I get to 'Drive' but won't engae the 'drive' gear, even if I actually take offI in 'drive'. Hence I am driving around at about 60 - 70 kmh. If my gearbox is stuffed is it expensive to get repaired.

    Hi Pintopaul, It's a 1994 ED Ford Fairmont sedan. 4.0L. Im in Australia. Thanks. Steve
