Price pfister three stem bathtub faucets. I replaced the hot, cold, and shower diverter, but now the tub spout drips fast. Have reinstalled all three new stems again checking washers and making tight. Any suggestions?

Does this unit have replaceable seats? Did you do that?

Thanks for the help... it does have replaceable seats which I did not replace because it was not leaking before, the threads were stripped so the handles wouldn't work which is the only reason I replaced the stems. Could replacing the stems have necessitated replacing the seats as well just from moving them around at replacement time?

When you had your valve apart did you turn the water on to flush out the supplies and the open valve body? You could have some trash that was dislodged from the pipe walls blocking the washer from seating. Good luck, Tom

If the faucet has some age to it, or wear like you seem to indicate, I would probably replace seats when I replace stems. They are pretty cheap in the grand scheme of things. I would at least do a CAREFUL inspection of the seats and unless they looked perfect, replace them. Speedball's advise is correct too.
