Have your parents sign for you.

But there should be no rush, if you are really in love you will be just as in love in two or three years.

To obtain a marriage license in Tennessee, both parties must appear for the issuance of the license. A Social Security number is required for both parties. The age requirement for marriage in the State of Tennessee is as follows:

    1. Over 21- picture ID

    2. From 18 to 21, a birth certificate.

    3. From 16 to 18, you must have both parents accompany you, and sign the approval affidavit and you must bring your birth certificate. There is a 3-day waiting period.

    4. If either party is under the age of 16, a waver must be issued from Juvenile Court.

Speaking from experience.. PLEASE WAIT TO GET MARRIED.. I was 16 when I got married now, even though we are still together 12 years later... I sacrificed so much!! You have no idea. There was a time when I resented my husband so much I thought we'd never make it... There is so much you will miss out on.. Imagine prom night with a husband instead of a date? Imagine the stress of fighting with your HS to have your records updated with your husbands last name.. Ugh its not worth it.. If he loves you and you love him and you're not rushing because you're pregnant.. WAIT 2 more years!!
