One year old lab mix suddenly eliminating in the house
Our one year old lab mix is female, spayed and housebroken (we thought). She is suddenly peeing & pooping in the house (sometimes while we're in the same room with her). Her nose is cold & wet, she's eating & drinking & very energetic - she seems completely healthy. This happened about two months ago also. We took her to the vet (we thought maybe urinary tract infection or obstruction) and she got a clean bill of health. From day one, we have been diligent in taking her outside often as she never barks to let us know she needs to go outside. Sometimes she'll gently lick our hand to let us know she needs something (very subtle). In a related matter, she does NOT like to "poop" outside. If it rains for two days, she'll hold it for two days and she does NOT like the cold. HELP!!

Has there been something traumatic going on in the house, arguing... that could have upset her and she is showing you she is displeased the only way she can. Although it is a very dirty one! but they can't tell us the usual ways.

You have been doing all the right things, and she sounds very well taken care of. Think back to what could have upset her.

Regarding the cold, have you considered getting her a warm jacket, a sweater, or even boots? Not only are these things cute, but they can do a lot to keep a dog more comfortable.
