    Abdominal pain no cause?
I am 36 yr old female. I have had a tubal (many years ago). I had my gallbladder out at 21. For 6 months, I have been cramping. I had a colonoscopy but they found little. I also have had a sonogram and no cystson my ovaries. I took 2 rounds of flagamyl (spelling is wrong I am sure) It helped with trhe upper left pain but I am still cramping in the pelvic area and lower left pelvic area. This is my main problem. I have had reoccuring infections, tiredness, and have lost my appetite off and on. I don't feel like eating but do get hungry most of the time, and have constant upset stomach. My bowels have changed. I get magor cramps in the AM and go 2-4 times (loose) , then nothing. The menstral like cramps stay. My whole abdomen has tender spots ( left lower, right lower, (by pelvis) left at rib cage, Left by hip bone and right by hip bone. My left side above the hip bone is giving some discomfort. Pushing on my stomach (below sternum) results in increased upset. I am tired somewhat lathargic. They have ruled out inulin intolerance.
    Any suggestions... PLEASE!!

Have you seen a gastroenterologist? It sounds as though you may have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), or possibly chronic gastritis, or even possibly pancreatitis.

Are you eating something on a regular basis, such as foods with caffenine? There may be something you are eating that is causing the abnormal pain. For reasons that I can't understand I can not drink green tea because it cause cramps and upset stomach.

Thanks for the replys... Cuff: have not changed my diet in any way for years.
I saw any internal medical dr. Have ruled out IBS. Please explain why you would suspect pancreatitis, or chronic gastritis.

I had a patient once who had pancreatitis after gall bladder removal and your symptoms match hers. Your symptoms also present as gastritis. You should seek the advice of a gastroenterologist though.

If you had your gallbladder removed by open [ long scar ] cholecystectomy, you may have adhesions.

The other consideration is Pelvic inflamatory disease and or endometriosis.

    See your gyn

A colonoscopy would likely rule out Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease [ if it only involved the colon ].

Thanks again for the relies I did hve colitis, an adhesion and aomeba... that is what I had the 2 rounds of medication and were the results of my colonoscopy. I did have a laproscopic gall bladder removal, so no long scars, but I di have 2 c sections. As for the PID, well I have been with the same person for 7 years and we are not like newlyweds... can you get PID If you have had the same partner? They ruled out Chrones disease Diverticulits, Inflamatory Bowel Disease, Diverticulitis, and IBS.
Thanks I will talk to the dr about the othe suggestion... any more?

Unknown infection. If you've had amoeba then you were possibly in an environment where some other exotic pathogen got in your GI tract

Or late onset celiac disease. You can try eliminating all gluten

Herb: Thanks for the idea... they ruled it out. The funny thing is I live in KANSA! I haven't left... Not over 100 miles from my home and haven't been farther than that in years.
Since this post my symptoms have subsided somewhat. My Dr. has sugessted another round of antibiotics... uhg!
So... I guess I will just wait and see...
