    Keylogger questions!
Hello. I guess I'm just being really paranoid about keyloggers... I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can answer.

And by the way, Geek Squad is completely unhelpful.

    - How would you know if you are being keylogged, or have ever been keylogged?
    - Would a keylogger only be active during certain programs, or is it always running in the background?
    - Can it be "uninstalled" by the person who is running it, as in, if it's on my computer am I only the only who has the power to get rid of it or can they?
    - Can someone get my information through a key log through remote assistance? A friend of mine was helping me with some things through that, but I worry if he had a keylogger on his computer that it would have been able to get personal information of mine. I also worry the keylogger could have "transfered" over to my computer somehow.

Regardless to say I am pretty computer illiterate and would appreciate any answers.
I have run a few spyware programs and they said everything was fine, and I have an antivirus program as well that has not detected anything (that I know of).

Also the Geek Squad agent I talked to said that he was concerned by I am not the administrator of my computer? Yet this is how it was since I got it, and I googled it, and it seems that it's just that way for many people. But he acted like I needed to get it changed.

Yes it does seem you are being unduly paranoid here.
To your questions, in the order you posted them.

    1/ You wouldn't, that's the whole point.
2/ Always running in the background collecting data.
3/ The Other person has full control on what it can do, you have none.
4/ There are various ways of control mostly invisible to you.

Best idea is to run an Anti malware scanner through your machine and see what it turns up, if anything.
I'd recommend Spybot search & destroy for this, freely available here: The home of Spybot-S&D!

As to your last point I'm not sure what you are referring to.
Does your account have admin rights, but isn't called administrator as that is quite normal.
