What is the right thing to say when a guy asks you "so what do you want to talk about."

Maybe you could bring up like, "whats your favorite class", do u like school? etc just bring up different things that you or himself would like to know

Talk about things you know about, never act like you're something you're not.

Yep just keep asking questions to get to know the person. Don't try to rush with questions either. If you ask "what classes are you taking?" and they list them off, ask them what their favorite class is, least favorite, what classes they plan to take later, why they took them... I mean that's a lot of information on classes, but you can do that with any topic.
