Is a lease in two names signed by one valid?
    Hi,
My husband was forced by the landlord to sign a renewal lease while I was abroad and I didn't. We gave a sufficient 30-day notice to move out and chose not to renew the lease as soon as I came back. The lease is in both my husband's and my name. Would it be considered a valid lease in the state of Wisconsin and would the landlord have the right to ask us to pay a full month's rent until the unit is rented out?
    Thank you!

Yes, A husband can be deemed to sign such a document for a wife. If you are terminating the lease before its expiration, the landlord can certainly require you to pay rent until its rented.
