Giving up my rights of a child that I never met
How do I give up my rights as a father that I was told was not a father to and then after child is seven the mother gets state aid and now I am the father. I don't know this child and want nothing to do with this child and I do not to pay child support

If you read any of the hundreds of similar threads here, you will find that you can't relinquish your rights.

This happens fairly often. Two people have a one night stand or affair and a baby results. The mom decides she can make a go on her own and doesn't involve the father. After a time mom needs to get public assistance. The state doesn't want to pay to support a child when there is a father to help. So they require that the father be identified and pay support.

I'm assuming a paterntiy test was done and determined you are the father. In that case, the ONLY way you are goinhg to get out of paying support is if the mother marries someone willing to adopt the child.

I am curious about something. If you are the FATHER, why choose the screenname "lynette"?
