    What's the formula for the area of a triangle?

    How can you use it to solve your problem?

    Remember the formula:
    Area = 1/2 * base * altitude

    Area A = 30 sq. units
    Base b = 6 units
    Let altitude = a

    A = 1/2 * b * a
    A and b are known. From above formula, you can calculate a.

    So you got the altitude. This is first question. Second question is to find the ratio of the altitude to the base.
    The ratio is a/b
    You know both a and b. So you can find ratio.
    Let me know if you need further help.
