I'm had some success on Match.com and I know a few people, including my mother, who have met and ended up getting married on eHarmony. You just have to look at it like meeting someone at a bar or anywhere else, there are going to be the crazy ones, the ones that are lying and the genuine. Just use your common sense and good judgment.

Well let's see. My brother met his girlfriend on eHarmony. My sister-in-law met her boyfriend on myspace, my brother-in-law met his fiancée on match.com and I met my husband on myspace. I realize myspace isn't a necessarily a dating website but it's crazy how things work out. It's hard to know where to go to meet someone, and you can get to know people a lot better reading about them, seeing pictures of what they like to do for fun, and whatnot than just seeing people out in public.

Im not saying I don't support these types of services, but its always better to meet people in person rather than on the web. There's some really messed up people in this world that you don't want to get mixed in with. Always be careful with people you don't meet in the real world.

It is actually hard for some people to meet, lets say you are a school teacher, you teach all day and go home, you don't drink, so you don't want to hang out at bars, so where do you meet new people.

Or perhaps you are a pastor, you don't want to date within your own church ?

Dating sites can bring together many people who may never have meet.

And just like picking up someone in a bar, any of them can be nut cases.
Or even worst, you could end up with me, now that would be scary.

I see what you're saying... I do, but I've met more messed up people in person.
