Well , I don't know what to say...
But for your help as u in really need...
I suggest to first report to the police station that your husband has threatened for suicide and as in this condition, Is it safe to send your son to his father whether it is now his turned to have his son with him on this christmas.
Discuss this problem with Elders and keep eye on your ex-husband.
Greet u have a merry x-mas to u and your family.

Talk to your divorce lawyer about this.

State that you have concerns about your child's safety and what, legally, can you do to protect you son from harm.

Open communication between you and your ex about this concern is suggested too.

Ask him to seek professional help, get medicated, undergo a psychiatric diagnosis, before you would be willing to allow visitation.

Remember,he said suicide, not homicide,He is sounding self destructive, not lashing out at others.

Remind him the kids safety is more important than his well being, your concern is more important than your legal agreement of visitation. Then, if he cares about the visits,he will have to seek help,if not for himself, for your son,who doesn't need exposure to an unstable parent.

During my separation and consequential divorce,I was suicidal too, visitations with my 2 children seemed to pick me up quite a bit, only to be a huge let down when they had to leave.

I have been on medications for many years now, all seems good lately... better living through modern medications.

I hope this helped,Write back soon,

I would ask for an emergency Custody hearing. Then requests that visitation be suspended or be supervised until a mental health evalauation can be made.

Do not withhold visitation without contating the court first.

You can't send your son into an emotional trainwreck of a situation.
